Hey girls! So, I managed to actually get dressed several times this week! 

Maybe its not a big accomplishment for you, but as a mom of two littles and the weather being scorching lately, I have mainly survived in running shorts and tanks. This week was a little bit better with motivation on my part.

A peak into my wardrobe choices for the last week. 

Wednesday--Lunch with friends, babysitting, Bible study in the evening

I picked up these black shorts at Ann Taylor Loft on Tuesday for like $10! 

V-neck tee- Target

Sandals--old! Walmart maybe?? 

Sunday--church and lunch out with friends

Jeans-- my trusty Express jeans that I got on consignment for next to nothing

Black top-- Target

Belt-- Hand-me-down from my Granny

Bracelet and sandals were both Target clearance items! 

There you have it! 

I managed to get dressed (and photograph it) at least twice this last week!!

Sunday (Church and my little birthday celebration)--

Shirt- Target (given to me by a sweet friend)

Maxi Skirt- Target (birthday gift from my sister)

Necklace- hand-me-down from a friend

Purple bracelet- Ann Taylor Loft

I wore my red braided sandals with this outfit. 

So comfy and great for a summer Sunday! 

Saturday evening--birthday party for a friend at a local country club

Dress- Target (clearance...$8. Yes! $8)

Black sandal- I've had them so long I don't even know where they came from! 

Flower belt and necklace- Ann Taylor Loft (a couple of years ago)

Handsome date-- Not on the market...He's all mine :)

This week I was actually inspired by an outfit from a post from ThePleatedPoppy

back in December! 

When I saw the post, I realized that I had the exact same skirt....only I had recently cleaned out my closet and put it in the box to donate! Needless to say, I rescued it and it now have a place in my wardrobe once again. 

I wasn't able to recreate my version of this outfit until recently when I acquired a

denim button-up from Forever 21. My look have more of a Spring feel (no tights or boots) because 

it was 80* here this weekend! 

While I wasn't able to get a photo of me actually wearing the outfit, 

here is what I recreated and gave my own person touches to for my Sunday style this week. 

Denim shirt--Forever 21

Black skirt-- Target (long time ago!)

Gray braid belt-- Ann Taylor LOFT (I think)

Red braid sandal-- Forever 21

So there ya have it!

An inspired outfit recreated. 

Honestly, I felt quite proud of myself for being able to do that. Style ins't my forte, so when something comes together like this, I am really surprised with myself.

Tuesday--Stayed home and had lunch with a good friend

Shoes--I was home all day so I don't think I ever put shoes on! Ha!

Tuesdays I have class all day! Some days I simply wear yoga pants and tennies.

In case you were wondering what I wear on my feet (because I rarely get a photo 

that includes my shoes), here's your answer

Sperry's! 

I wear them everywhere! 

Funny thing--I got these as my 3rd anniversary gift from the Hubs...it gets better...

since the 3rd anniversary traditional gift is leather, I got him Sperry's as well...

even better...

neither of us knew what the other got! We both opened our gifts and found out that we exchanged Sperry's! 

It was hilarious...and fun! :)

Hello again, bloggers and followers! 

It feels like it has been forever since I posted, but it was only Friday...just a long few days I guess! 

And, you're in luck today, because I actually got more than one photo this week **gasp!**

Hard to believe I know, but its a slow process to getting a full week of outfits...this week you get two!

know us, you know she is rarely seen without something in her hair (compliments of my mother). 

 So, here's my outfit for Wednesday evening. We have dinner at church the 1st Wednesday of each month.

Here we are again! My hubs just said, "Wow, its Wednesday! Where did this week go?!?" 

Which describes exactly how I feel!

What I Wore Wednesday

I'm joining the crowd on this one with my first "What I Wore Wednesday" post!

For those of you who are wondering what WIWW is, I will explain. Basically it is an idea that someone came up with to help keep moms from being slobs everyday! :)

As a mom it is sometimes difficult to get up and get yourself ready when you have the responsibility of another little person (or for some of you, several little people), but that shouldn't be an excuse for not putting some time into what YOU look like. WIWW is simply taking a photo of at least one outfit you wore during the week and putting it up for the world to see!

I have never done this before, but I am really excited to begin doing it! I will be linking up with the Pleated Poppy for this one (notice the button on the right)

Shirt- GAP

Skirt- re-purposed from an old shirt (with the help from a local shop-Mission Savvy)

Necklace- t-shirt necklace made using some of the shirt used for the skirt and some extra fabric that Mission Savvy had!

So there you go! My first WIWW post!
