{day 15} in a small city

Most of the posts in this series have been about places you can go in Charleston.
Today I'm here to tell you about a once-a-year activity that our family loves!

Remember the post on The Capitol Market?
We are heading back over to the market today where they host a yearly Pumpkin Party!

This past Saturday we went to the Pumpkin Party for the third year in a row.
We all had a blast painting pumpkins, playing pumpkin bowling, blowing big bubbles and drawing with sidewalk chalk...not to mention checking out all the big pumpkins and mums!
Did I mention that this event is completely free?!? Yep. More love!

This was E's third time painting a pumpkin...she's getting to be a pro!

G-man needed a little help at first, but once he got going...

he painted everything in sight...including his sister's hair!
So cute seeing that little guy painting.

E was able to know the pins down with a tiny pumpkin. G had a hard time so they let him move waayyyy up...he still only knocked down one. He must not be a natural bowler.

Did I mention that Aunt B joined us? She did. Which only made the day more special.

We aren't huge Halloween people (meaning we don't do scary decorations or costumes or haunted houses or scary movies or anything really scary at all) but The Pumpkin Party is one of our family Halloween-time traditions!

Did you know this is {day 15} in a 31 day series?!?
I'm linking up with The Nester and others in the Write31Days challenge!
Go check out the other blogs and check back here tomorrow for another "day in a small city"
