I hope you aren't getting tired of parks yet, because I have one more for you!
(And I am even leaving out a few of the ones we frequent).
Magic Island is right downtown on the river.
Until recently, they didn't have any play ground equipment, it was just a park with a walking track and some sand volleyball courts. The play ground makes it nicer for the kiddos, but even before that we would go down for picnics along the river, kite flying, or just taking a little walk with Zoe-dog.
One of E's favorite things to do is climb a little willow tree down there.
Magic Island is also a place where outdoor events in the city take place. The Color Vibe 5k started and ended there, free movie nights (every Wednesday in June) take place there on the lawn, and other community events throughout the year.
Its a beautiful park with a great view of the city!
Honestly, spending evenings there sometimes makes me feel like I am in a bigger city!
